FAQ

When will all the plantings reach maturity?

Perennials and Shrubs should be mature in three to five years. Trees vary; they can still grow for fifteen or more years depending on the type. Most trees mature in five to ten years.

What do I need to start a design? Is there a fee?

Our first meeting is always free. If this is something you would be interested in, send me your RPR (Lot Plan). We will need a deposit to secure the Landscape Design Concept Fee before we begin. We will use a Wave App tracking system and deduct it off the remaining balance. Contact me for pricing and more information.

Why did my plant die?

Our unpredictable weather takes a toll on Plants and Shrubs.  Other variables factor into longevity, such as soil condition and type, too much water or lack of water, location and the zone the planting is installed in. Zone 4A to Zone 3B is the Calgary Zone (changed in 2016) and Edmonton is Zone 3B.

Do I get digital files & hard copies when the project is complete? And what happens with coordination with the Contractor?

Yes, after payment is received you get your PDF(s) and 11×17 drawings released over to you via Dropbox, USB and hard copies (as needed). We can send them over to the Contractor (if required).

Usually, we release the drawings to the client, and they contact the Contractor directly. Coordination with the Contractor switches over after the job is complete.

How long will my design take?

Typically, we aim to have your design complete within two weeks for Concepts and just under a Month for a Full Design. Significant revisions may extend this timeframe.
